When I sketched this hummingbird, I thought I’d do the classic pose—wings swept back, caught mid-hover. But as the lines formed, something else appeared. The wings stretched forward instead, almost like a gesture: here I am.
I’ve always loved hummingbirds. The way they appear in late summer, zipping and pausing mid-air. The way they guard the feeder and chase each other off, their high-pitched calls and the vibration of their wings filling the air. And of course—their flashes of colour, so alive it almost hums.
This shirt carries that moment of invitation, that bright presence. Not just a bird in flight, but a reminder of the beauty in showing yourself.

❓ Is this shirt one-of-a-kind?
Yes. I bleach them all by hand. They’re a little chaotic, a little soulful, and completely unique. Like you.
❓ What size should I get?
They tend to fit like typical unisex sizes. But if you are unsure: Size up! I wear mine loose, like wearable billboards. That way the image flows, and I don’t feel squeezed by capitalism or cotton.
❓ What comes with the shirt?
Love. Some handmade stickers, a booklet with Certificate of Authenticity, my story about it, and care instructions. Probably a dog hair (sorry).
❓ Can I wash it?
Yep. Each piece is washed, dried, and heat-set before it leaves my hands. Bleach designs are permanent. Just wash cold and hang dry if you want it to last a long, weirdly beautiful life.
❓ Why is it $85?

❓ What size is the model?
Did you just call me a model? Blush. I’m 5’2” and usually wear a Small in unisex shirts (which these are). But for this wearable art, I like to go big. Makes me feel like a walking canvas. Oversized is the move.
❓ Can I get a custom shirt?
Maybe. There’s a form on the shop page where you can suggest a design — or just email me if you’ve got a wild idea. I can’t promise I’ll say yes (each shirt has to feel right), but I love hearing sparks of inspiration.
❓ Do you ship outside Canada?
Yes! Shipping within Canada and the US is included in the $85 price.
