Mighty Unicorn (S)
I set out to paint a rearing unicorn — strong, bold, and a little more dangerous than the soft-eyed dreamers I’d made before. This time, I wanted muscle. Something majestic and masculine — but still totally magical. At first, the bleach lifted to a soft lilac. Then suddenly — FUCHSIA. It felt like a challenge to every idea we’ve had about what strength should look like. I layered the bleach twice, pulling more colour forward until he practically glowed with power. This unicorn who knows his worth. He’s beautiful. He’s fierce. He’s not here to apologize for either. He’s the kind of presence that shows up when softness meets confidence — and doesn’t back down.

❓ Is this shirt one-of-a-kind?
Yes. I bleach them all by hand. They’re a little chaotic, a little soulful, and completely unique. Like you.
❓ What if it doesn’t fit?
Size up! I wear mine loose like wearable billboards. That way the image flows, and I don’t feel squeezed by capitalism or cotton.
❓ What comes with the shirt?
Love. Some handmade stickers. Probably a dog hair. (Sorry.) And a thank-you note from me, the artist.
❓ Can I wash it?
Yep. It’s been washed, dried, and heat-set already. But wash it cold and hang it dry if you wanna treat it nice.
❓ Why is it $30?
Because this is wearable art. And also a test run. Prices will go up as I get better (and braver). You’re early. That makes you a legend.
❓ Can I return it?
Nope. All sales are final. These shirts are one-of-a-kind, made by hand, and full of soul—just like you. That said, if it arrives damaged or doesn’t look the way you expected, email me at hello@kristylannan.com and I’ll try to make it right. I want you to feel good wearing your weird.
❓ What size is the model?
Did you just call me a model? Blush. I’m 5’2” and usually wear a Small in unisex shirts (which these are). But for this wearable art, I like to go big. Makes me feel like a walking canvas. Oversized is the move.
❓ Can I get a custom shirt?
There’s a form on the shop page where you can suggest a design—or just email me if you’ve got a wild idea you want to see in bleach. Just know I might say no (nicely). I’m in an exploratory phase, like an artsy little Pokémon.
❓ Do you ship outside Canada?
Yes! Right now, shipping is included in the $30 price—even international. I’m curious to see where these shirts end up. If I find that sending shirts across the ocean costs more than the shirt itself, I may start adding a shipping fee. But for now, let’s just see what happens.
❓ It looks weird. Like… kinda ugly?
